The project proposes restoring a former farming annex, which used to comprise a winepress and a small regional kitchen, while turning it into an extension of the existing residence and creating a space for family gatherings.
The program is organized around a central space comprising the dining room, which takes up a prominent position, as it faces an existing granite-slabbed patio.
The living area faces south, to the gardens, as it extends throughout the threshing floor's exterior space along the swimming pool. The support areas, kitchen and laundry, are located near the north side, facing the entrance area.
The large openings provide a straightforward relationship between the interior and the exterior, and the fireplace, the niches in the walls and the shapes of the ceilings endow the project with a relationship of continuity between the spaces throughout the house, thereby turning the space's original identity into a memory.
